Modifieds
A few years back Daniel Strohl began a collection of images and information dealing primarily with the American Modified in its many forms. His personal website became a hub for Modifieds, with people from around the globe contributing content to it. As many of you know, Dan has no shortage of projects and responsibilities and as a result his work will now be hosted here at Autografik.
This section will be a work in progress. It's focus from this point on will be on lakes Modifieds (SCTA-type) and Track Ts (short track oval racers) as well as street cars inspired by these early competition vehicles. T Buckets, while undoubtedly being important to the overall history of the Hot Rod, will not be featured here at this time. Contributions in the form of images, video, and anecdotes are greatly appreciated and will credited. Please see the About page for contact information.
In the meantime, please click on the following link. If you know the owners of any of these cars, please send an email with that information to cris@dabica.com . Many of the photos from the old site were small or of suspect (camera phone) quality, so please feel free to forward along better versions if you have them.
